Overview
This year's theme, Love Never Dies, echoes the words of Jamie Anderson: "Grief, I've learned, is really just love. It's all the love you want to give but cannot...Grief is just love with no place to go." Together, we will honour the memories of our loved ones, acknowledging that grief is a testament to the enduring power of love. Together, we will honour their memory and embrace the dual nature of love and grief, finding solace in our shared experience.
Remembrance Day is an annual collaborative event, caringly prepared by Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust and Grief Australia.
What to expect:
The ceremony will be a space for reflection, healing, and connection. Through the timeless arts of poetry, music, and storytelling, we will collectively celebrate the lives of those we cherish and continue to miss.
