IT systems upgrade
We are currently upgrading our IT systems to serve you better. During this time, you might notice some changes or delays in our services. These changes are explained in more detail below.
Collection of ashes
Collection of ashes by customers or funeral directors will be limited to exceptional circumstances from Friday 1 November to Wednesday 13 November 2024 (inclusive).
For cremations completed prior to Thursday 31 October, SMCT will proceed with family collection appointments if they have been pre-booked. Funeral directors will have until 3:00 pm on 31 October to collect any ashes for cremations that have occurred prior to that date.
Limited exemptions may be considered in urgent or exceptional cases. If you have a request of this nature, please contact Operations Manager, Kelly Nunn on 1300 466 904 with the circumstances of your request.
