About us
Our Organisation
Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) is a public entity reporting to the Minister for Health, purposed with providing cemetery, cremation and related support services to the community on the government’s behalf.
Over and above the funeral services we provide, we are committed to guiding families through the most important, long term decisions they will need to make when someone dies.
Our People and Culture
The Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) places great emphasis on employee engagement as we recognise that our people are our greatest asset.
We aim to recruit and retain highly skilled employees and, to this end, offer excellent working conditions, flexibility and tailored training programmes.
