Community Planning Service

Partnering with our community
At Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, we are committed to providing ways to honour and celebrate life in the way that best serves our community. That’s why we have developed the Community Planning Service, to help community groups plan ahead together.
We are partnering with community leaders to discuss the needs of their community group in planning how members may rest together in the future. This includes memorials, grave customisation and other burial elements to help communities to be commemorated together.
At our Bunurong Memorial Park location, we are continuing to develop new areas providing community groups with the opportunity to have a custom built area for honouring life as a community. Our Springvale Botanical Cemetery location also has areas to explore, giving groups the option to choose the location and setting that best meets your needs.
Our team of consultants can help your community group by:
Creating customised memorials specifically for your community
Discussing burial options
Advising on the optimum number of memorials required
Creating areas that are aligned to important customs and traditions
Discussing any other community specific requirements
