On Saturday 13 November, the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) will open the pre-sale of positions for their new All Souls Mausoleum at Springvale Botanical Cemetery. Construction of this premium development commenced in September 2021 and the first stage of construction is projected to complete by mid-2022.

Built in collaboration with 2Construct Pty Ltd, All Souls is set to accommodate 768 crypts across four levels. The mausoleum will be delivered through a flexible two-stage construction process to meet the needs of our community.

The modern cross-shaped design has been conceptualised by renowned Webb+ Architecture and will feature beautiful contemplative courtyards and design elements of enduring quality and textural richness, to create an immersive and unique experience for the community to visit and reflect.

In line with SMCT’s vision of creating spaces that provide our diverse communities with fit-to-purpose spaces to honour their loved ones, the contemporary design of All Souls incorporates strong religious and cultural references aligned to the Italian Catholic faith and traditions.

Featuring courtyards inspired by Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem and a timeless design for all generations, All Souls Mausoleum will serve as a place of dignity and reverence for our dearly departed and a place of contemplation and solace for the bereaved.
