Father’s Day – remembering in your way
"A father doesn't tell you that he loves you. He shows you."
- Dimitri the Stoneheart
Dad, Father, Daddy, Papa, Pa, Da, Dadda. Whatever name you give to them, Father’s Day is the perfect day to celebrate the men who offer their love, support and guidance in life.
For some, a father was more of a figure in their life. Someone who was there for them in times of need and a role model. For others, a father was more like a friend, someone they could hang out with and share special moments with.
This day isn’t easy for everyone, we all have different relationships with our parents and whether they remain with us or not, it’s today that we think of them.
Father’s Day is a chance to thank our dads, for being such an important part of our lives. Forever long or however short, they are our fathers.
Wherever you may be, they’ll always be there with you – in your thoughts, your wishes and your heart.
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there, today we honour you.
“A father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.” —Unknown
