Cremation Urn Options

Cremation Urn Options

Cremation memorial urns and keepsake jewellery provide you and your family with meaningful ways of honouring your loved one. Choosing an option that’s right for you and your family is a personal choice that we can help guide you through.

Choosing the right urn option for you

When it comes to honouring your loved one, you can select from a range of designer, wooden, brass, copper, stone, scatter or eco-friendly memorial urns and keepsake jewellery. How you wish to remember your loved one is deeply personal and up to you. If you wish to divide your loved one’s ashes amongst family and friends, you can. You can also scatter some of your loved ones ashes in a meaningful place, store some in a keepsake pendant, and keep some close to you at home in a memorial urn. There are no rules. Most large urns we offer have a capacity of 3.2 litres, which is suitable to hold the ashes of an average sized adult.

Placing your loved one’s ashes in an urn

At the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, we care for you and your loved one, in life and death. As part of your memorial urn or keepsake jewellery purchase, we will place your loved one’s ashes into your memorial urn or keepsake jewellery for you at no additional cost.
