This Mother's Day, join us in honouring and remembering the mums, mother figures and special people in our lives, whether they're with us or in our hearts. We warmly welcome everyone, regardless of whether you have a loved one resting at one of our sites or not.
We encourage you and your family to come together over a picnic, share memories, and create new traditions in our beautiful gardens at Springvale Botanical Cemetery and Bunurong Memorial Park.
To support you at this time, we are offering a limited number of complimentary Mother's Day picnic lunch hampers for two people filled with delicious treats and a cooler bag valued at $40.
Registrations are essential and we have a waitlist should anyone cancel their order.
Where
The picnic hampers will be available at both Springvale Botanical Cemetery and Bunurong Memorial Park in Dandenong South. When you arrive at your chosen cemetery, you will need to go to the designated collection point to pick up your hamper. You will receive an email once you have registered with further information, including where to go.
Once you have picked up your hamper, you will be free to explore our beautiful grounds and find the best place to enjoy your picnic.
When
This will take place over Saturday 11 May and Sunday 12 May 2024. Please note that hamper collection is between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on both days. You can select the day you wish to attend when registering for your hamper.
Registrations close by Friday 3 May.
Important information
- Hampers are designed for two people to share
- There is a limit of one hamper per registering adult, and two hampers per total order
- Families with more than four people will need to submit a second order under a separate name and email address
- You will need to collect your hamper at the designated collection point for your chosen site, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on your chosen day
- If hampers are booked out, we will have a waitlist in case of any cancellations
- Please email events@smct.org.au if you have ordered a hamper but are no longer able to attend
What's in the hampers?
Each hamper contains two lunch packs of sandwiches, two varieties of baked treats, and fresh fruit salad. Best of all, your lunch comes in a cooler bag that you can use again and again.
Dietary options available will be vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. You can choose these options when you register for your hamper.
