St Kilda perimeter wall undergoing works

As part of the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of all sites in the care of the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT), important works to the perimeter wall of the St Kilda Cemetery are underway. SMCT is working diligently in consultation with Heritage Victoria to ensure the wall is re-established in a timely and safe way.

The project is expected to take approximately 12 months. During this time, sections of the cemetery will have restricted access. SMCT is attempting to contact all families directly affected to advise of this project. SMCT understands that visiting a loved one is extremely important to members of the community. They encourage everyone needing assistance with visitation to please contact the Customer Care team.
