Is burial the best option?
If you’re not sure, we encourage you to read our page on deciding between burial and cremation as a starting point. This can help you think through some of the options.
The important thing to remember is that burial can refer to a number of different situations but will always involve placing the deceased within a coffin, casket or shroud.
Burial at our locations takes place either below ground level within an earth grave, or above ground within a mausoleum.
Before choosing an option, we encourage you to think about the personal preferences of the person being buried. For instance:
- Did they like being near the water?
- Did they have a love of gardens?
- Was their faith important to them?
- How important is being surrounded by family?
- Were they in the military or the police?
Each of our locations offers something different. We encourage you to talk to one of our consultants to work out where will be the best place for you or your loved one.
