SMCT announces new Trust Chairperson

After a decade of leadership and innovation in the way families celebrate and honour the lives of loved ones, we are excited to be entering a new chapter for Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT). To advance us in our plans of continual improvement, we are delighted to welcome Dr Vanda Fortunato as the new Chairperson of the Trust for SMCT.

Holding the position of CEO for two not-for-profits, along with senior executive roles with Medibank, a clinical research organisation and Accenture, Vanda has over 20 years of leading organisations with compassion. Vanda's multi-cultural experience working for the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank provides her with a unique perspective into the development and improvement of communities.

Vanda joins the established and high-performing board who have grown SMCT to be a trusted sector leader - one that provides the Victorian community with choice, contemporary services and a focus on support for the living.

As a demonstrated leader within both the community and business sector, we are pleased to welcome Vanda into the SMCT family.
